Tein Coilovers & Performance Suspension
Factory suspension is a compromise written for the average buyer, and on an enthusiast car it is usually the first thing to feel wrong — too much body roll, a ride height that leaves an obvious gap over the tyre, and no way to change either. Tein has been building performance dampers and springs in Yokohama since 1985, and its name is short for "Technical Innovation". At Superspares we stock Tein performance suspension, led by the brand's adjustable coilover kits.
Adjustability Is the Whole Point
A lowering spring drops the car and that is the end of the conversation. A coilover lets you set the ride height where you actually want it, and on most Tein ranges lets you adjust damping as well — so the same car can be comfortable on a commute and firmer for a weekend drive.
That adjustability is why Tein has the following it does. Street ranges such as Street Advance Z and Flex Z are tuned for daily-driven enthusiast cars: firmer than stock but not race-harsh, and damping-adjustable so you can move the setting rather than live with someone else's choice. Kits are vehicle-specific, so fitment is matched to your exact make, model and chassis rather than approximated.
The Tein Range
Our Tein catalogue is led by coilovers, with the wider damper and spring range alongside. Use our on-page filters to find your chassis code.
Adjustable Coilover Kits: The core of the range — height-adjustable coilovers with multi-level damping adjustment on most models, replacing the spring and damper as a single tunable unit.
Street Advance Z and Flex Z: The street-oriented ranges built for daily-driven enthusiast cars, balancing everyday comfort against sharper body control.
EnduraPro Dampers: OE-shape replacement shock absorbers that reuse your factory springs and do not change ride height — a comfort and handling upgrade for owners who want a better-damped car at standard height.
Lowering Springs: Spring-only options for lowering a vehicle while retaining the factory dampers.
EDFC Controllers: Electronic damping force controllers that let you adjust damping from inside the cabin rather than reaching the adjusters by hand.
Alongside the Tein range, browse our wider selection of shock absorbers and struts, coil springs and leaf springs, and suspension upgrades.
Fitment, Legality and Setup
Tein kits are engineered for specific vehicles and chassis codes, so selection needs your exact model and variant rather than the model name alone.
Two practical points matter more than anything else here. Coilovers are legal to fit in Australia, but the resulting ride height must meet your state's roadworthy and minimum ground-clearance rules, and some states may require engineering certification for adjustable suspension. Check your local regulations before setting a height.
Second, a wheel alignment is required after fitting, and after any significant height change afterwards. Changing ride height alters camber and toe, and running on the old alignment will destroy a set of tyres quickly and blunt the handling you just paid for.
