If inspection reveals cracks or tears in the rubber bushing or the bearings are binding, the strut mount requires replacement. When fitting new struts replace bump stops and strut mounts with a Monroe ® Strut-Mate Protection Kit and a Monroe ®Strut-Mate Mounting Kit. Polyurethane bump stops ' compress ' when absorbing impact and absorb fluid and oils, which induces deterioration.
